Our class has been very busy:
Religion - They know several songs about God; have been to Mass weekly; know many of the prayers.
Language arts - The children have read 3 stories in their books; shared 6 little take home books at home; have mastered many of the sight words; and have written letters to the senior members of our parish.
Math - The class has challenged Mrs. Wade's first graders to a math contest with the facts through 8 and will have begun working with the subtraction facts.
Science - We took a trip to St. Anne Convent to observe the trees in the woods and find the animals hidden there. The Sisters at Holy Family Home enjoyed the visit with the children before the hike. After a picnic lunch and the hike, the children enjoyed rolling down the front hill of the convent. God blessed us with perfect weather!
Social Studies - The class will finish up the unit on school soon.
